Echinacea hybrid Hybrid Coneflower

‘05 'Intrinsic Mix' - These hybrids consist of second generation
seedlings that come from a cross of ‘Kim’s Knee High’ and
tennisseensis. Some very unique forms, foliage and branching
habits. Blooms in June.

Echinacea purpurea Purple Coneflower

'Alba' (White Coneflower) - Creamy white coneflowers at 3-4' in early July. Nice in mass or shown with the pink varieties. Takes moist to well drained soil and full sun to light shade.

Echinacea purpurea Purple Coneflower

‘05 'Doubledecker' - A unique flower form with extra petals forming
in the center of the mature cones giving the effect of a second
flower on top of a flower. Due to seed production, not all plants will be double and not all plants will show the doubling petals the first year. Full sun, well drained soil.

Echinacea tennesseensis Tennessee Coneflower

The native species is a recent introduction in the trade. It differs from the purpurea species in that it has thin hairy foliage and upright facing, pink petals on more floriferous plants start blooming in July over an extended period. Prefers full sun, well drained location but tolerates moisture

Echinacea x Orange Meadowbrite

‘05 'Art’s Pride' (PP# 15,090 ) - Long blooming fragrant flowers start orange and fade to a unique rhubarb pink still showing hints of orange. 36"+ vigorous plants should have lean soil in full sun.
Price includes a 25¢ royalty.

Epimedium grandiflorum

‘05 'Lilafee' - Lavender purple flowers in spring as the foliage
emerges. Great green foliage with hints of silver or grey all year. Tolerates dry shade. Grows 8"+. Part shade is best in well drained soil. (Groundcover.)
Epimedium rubrum Barrenwort

Slow spreading clumps with dull, leathery, semi-evergreen leaves to 10" just after the clusters of 1/2" four part, star shaped, red flowers in April. Moist, well drained soil in part shade.(Groundcover.)

Epimedium youngianum Young's Barrenwort

'Niveum' - Small heart shaped foliage on slow spreading 1' clumps. Early white flower clusters in April emerge just before the new foliage. Tolerates dry shade but moist soil will do along with part sun. (Groundcover.)

Eryngium x Sea Holly

‘05 'Sapphire Blue' (PP# 11,088) - More substantial clusters of bright
blue and silver on uniform 18" stems. Full sun, well drained soil.

Eryngium yuccifolium Rattlesnake Master

Native in the prairies, Rattlesnake Master has strapping gray green foliage with spines. White flower balls in July to 4' are showy into fall. Moist to well drained soil, full sun.

Eupatorium aromaticum Variegated Thoroughwort

'Jacus' - I first tried this for the variegated foliage, which is a splashed yellow with some green to the emerging new growth. But this fall the bright white flowers really caught my eye. Just as the Joe Pye Weed starts to fade in  September they make substantial 3' wide by 5' tall clumps and the foliage looks mostly green at this point. Full sun and moist to drained soil.

Euphorbia cyparissias Spurge

'Fen's Ruby' - Reddish foliage, which is finer than the species', turns deep green in May about the same time its yellow chartreuse heads begin to flower. Spreads easily. Wonderful orange, red, and yellow fall color. Great retail seller! Can take poor, well drained soil in full sun. (Groundcover.)

Euphorbia cyparissias Spurge

A good full sun groundcover that grows 6-9" tall. This Spurge has fine, needle like foliage and yellow flowers and bracts starting in April that turn orange. Bright yellow fall color. Can spread rapidly. Needs moist to well drained soil. (Groundcover.)

Euphorbia polychroma Cushion Spurge

epithymoides - A perfect dome of foliage, which is covered with the brightest yellow color in May and red highlights in the fall. The clumps can get big-up to 18" tall and wide. Well drained soil, full sun. Can take it dry in part shade.
